Free Workshops

Workshops are available throughout Vermont for each of the six Self-Management Programs. These workshops provide a supportive atmosphere for participants to focus on building skills to manage their conditions by sharing experiences and providing mutual support. All of the programs are free to any Vermonter who meets the program requirements. Find a workshop that works for you.

Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP®) programs are for anyone who has mental health difficulties or is struggling to incorporate wellness tools and strategies into their lives. Designed in Vermont at the Copeland Center with input from the Vermont Psychiatric Survivors and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, these workshops focus on developing action plans, skills for self-management and recovery. The Diabetes Prevention Program is for people at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. It helps those at risk learn about healthy eating and physical activity habits that have been proven to reduce the risk of developing the disease and provides a supportive atmosphere for lifestyle changes. It is facilitated by a trained Lifestyle Coach. Each workshop is a 12-month program that has 16 one-hour-long weekly core sessions, followed by 6-8 one-hour-long monthly sessions.
